The public view shows the league's most recent handicap changes. Leagues scored on points rather than strokes don't show this panel — there's no handicap to explain.

The straightforward method most leagues already use on paper: a player's average score for the rounds that count, less par.
Prefer to drop everyone's best and worst round before averaging? Turn it on, and once a player has four rounds in, one high and one low come out.
Count the most recent few weeks, or the whole season. You choose the number — and a rained-out week can't push a real round out of the reckoning, because only weeks with posted scores take a slot.
Set a maximum so one blow-up night can't inflate somebody's number, and a minimum so a strong player's can't drift too low.
They play off the handicap already on their profile. If there isn't one, they play off scratch until they've posted scores — nothing is invented for them.
Copy the columns straight out of your spreadsheet — last name, first name, GHIN number, handicap index. Comma-separated or copied from Excel, both work, and the headings are recognised for you.
It's a paste box, not a file upload — there's nothing to export, format, and re-export when it doesn't take.
On their own scorecard there's a How was this calculated? panel: gross total, course handicap, the subtraction that produced the net score, and the allowance applied.
Play a format off 100%, dial it back as far as 80%, or run it scratch — the allowance is applied for you and shown on the card.
Players off different tees compete on the same board, with the tee difference handled in the maths rather than in an argument.
Handicaps update when you finalize the week — the same click that posts the standings. Course and playing handicaps use the USGA formulas; a league handicap built from your own weekly scores is your league's own number, not a USGA Handicap Index.
